This month, we are excited to introduce one of Mission Solar’s longest-tenured employees! For more than 12 years, Rachel Su has managed Mission Solar Energy’s company’s financial operations, keeping us strong, efficient, and ready to power the future with solar energy.
Originally from Guangzhou, China, Rachel has lived in San Antonio for the past 23 years. She joined Mission Solar because of her passion for renewable energy and her belief in solar power as the future. “Solar offers a sustainable, clean, and cost-effective alternative to traditional energy sources,” Rachel explains. “Working in this industry allows me to contribute to innovative solutions that benefit future generations.”
As Plant Controller, Rachel oversees daily accounting functions, financial planning, budgeting, and compliance. She collaborates with Mission Solar’s leadership and finance teams to provide key financial insights that drive growth and innovation. More than just working with numbers, she supports a company that upholds high-quality standards, ethical business practices, and a commitment to sustainability.
Rachel has witnessed the rapid growth of the solar industry in the U.S. Since 2010, the solar sector has expanded its share of the nation’s electricity supply from just 0.1% to over 7%, achieving an average annual growth rate of 26%. “Being part of such a fast-growing industry and helping drive its progress has been truly fulfilling,” she says.
Rachel’s expertise and dedication strengthen Mission Solar, ensuring we remain financially strong as we continue delivering American-made solar solutions. We’re proud to have her on our team!
