Mission Solar Energy has helped bring large-scale solar projects to life, supplying high-quality utility-scale solar modules and working with industry leaders to expand clean energy. One project we are particularly proud of is Alamo 6, a 110 MW solar farm that went online in 2016. At the time, it was the largest solar project in Texas, covering more than 1,000 acres in Pecos County. Today, it still generates enough clean energy to power tens of thousands of homes each year, proving that large-scale solar isn’t just possible—it’s the future.

Teamwork That Powers Progress

Big projects like Alamo 6 don’t happen alone. Developers, manufacturers, and utilities joined forces to make it a reality. For this project, we teamed up with our sister company OCI Energy, supplying 430,800 high-performance solar modules. These panels were designed to handle Texas’ intense climate while delivering long-term efficiency and durability.

But Alamo 6 did more than just generate clean power. It helped San Antonio’s CPS Energy take a big step toward cutting carbon emissions and reducing fossil fuel reliance. It also created local jobs, bringing economic benefits during both construction and ongoing operations.

What’s Next for Solar in Texas?

Alamo 6 showed that large-scale solar could thrive in Texas and set the stage for even bigger renewable energy projects. It’s a reminder of why Mission Solar Energy keeps pushing for more innovation and better solar solutions.

For businesses and developers looking to go solar, Mission Solar Energy delivers high-performance modules built for reliability and long-term impact. The next big milestone in clean energy is just around the corner, and we’re ready to help make it happen.
